Defence Facility – Mezzanine Storage Conversion & Safety Compliance
This project repurposed an underutilised mezzanine into a compliant storage area. Works involved the installation of structural concrete flooring to level the surface and increase load capacity, enabling pallet storage use. A second phase delivered a WHS-compliant loading zone with engineered fall protection, sliding and hinged safety gates, and integrated floor waste rectifications. All works were completed in accordance with Defence infrastructure protocols and strict access coordination.

ANU Kambri – Creek Decking Remediation
Southern Rejuvenators removed and refurbished the timber decking surrounding a creek-line public area. All boards were transported offsite for sanding and staining to eliminate environmental contamination risk from runoff. Upon return, decking was reinstalled using stainless steel fixings to ensure longevity in a high-traffic, weather-exposed environment. The project enhanced safety by eliminating trip hazards and gave new life to a highly visible campus precinct.
Defence Facility – Hazardous Materials Remediation & Industrial Cleaning
Southern Rejuvenators coordinated and delivered a major industrial remediation project at a high-security site. The scope included decontamination of airborne and surface contaminants, primarily heavy metals from electronic waste destruction equipment. Partnering with hygiene consultants and specialist cleaners, the works included site preparation, HEPA vacuuming, wet wiping, and full surface remediation. Occupational hygiene protocols such as pre- and post-works blood testing and atmospheric monitoring were adhered to. A final clearance certificate was issued, validating the site as safe for re-occupancy.
HMAS Harman – Junior Sailors Mess Remediation and Rebuild
This extensive remediation and restoration project involved the full strip-out and internal rebuild of the Junior Sailors Mess at HMAS Harman, which had been condemned due to extensive mould contamination. All affected building materials and furnishings were safely removed, with structural framing and joists treated and coated using specialised anti-fungal systems. The interior was rebuilt with new wall linings, flooring finishes, suspended ceiling systems, LED lighting upgrades, and repainting. Additionally, compliant roof access systems were installed. As part of the broader scope, external changerooms and toilet facilities were remediated to remove non-friable asbestos and treat existing mould, bringing the entire precinct back into safe, operational use.
